Quwa Activewear was born from a deeply personal journey—one rooted in transformation, resilience, and the need for representation.
After having my first child, I decided to start gyming to rebuild my strength and confidence. But walking into that space, I felt completely out of place. While others moved freely in sleek, performance-ready outfits, I was layering 3 to 4 pieces of clothing just to feel modest. I felt uncomfortable, untidy, and restricted. Stylish, modest activewear simply didn’t exist.
Frustrated, I resorted to wearing oversized hoodies and baggy men’s clothing. It was far from ideal. That’s when the idea sparked: What if I could create what I was looking for? Something modern, minimal, and made for women like me—who want to move with confidence, without compromising their values.
I poured hours into researching fabrics, understanding design for mobility, and learning what modest, high-performance wear could truly look like. I had a few pieces made by a local dressmaker—just for myself. But it didn’t stay that way for long. Women began asking where they could find what I was wearing.
That’s when Quwa was born. A brand built for the modern modest woman—made to move, made to empower.
